Ok i use X5 12 pro and my friend has Evolution 12. my question is can he open the site i built in 12 pro and edit it in his Evolution 12. Thanks

No this is not possible, in the pro project there are items that evo can't handle.
Your Friend needs to buy pro or you need to use evo. The other way around will work, but that you already know.
