Redirect user to specific page after using log in object

Hello. Are there any plans to update the login/logout object or is there a workaround to customize the behavior? I could really use some additional customization options.
Most importantly, I need to redirect the user to a specific page after they have successfully logged in. It seems to only redirect to the home page.
Additionally, I would love to be able to change the appearance of the button/label placement. Like the ability to have the labels on the side rather than only on top.

For every user or group you can set a entrance page, this is done in the acces management of the user or the group.
The login object can be placed on the side as well, it is in the utility section of the objects you can set it on every page wherever you want. You can customize this in several ways, (label colour field colour even a background picture) and with the style button have some influance on place inside the object window.
