Hi All - after recently editing my site, I uploaded the upadtes and all went well. Then I ran a software update. Now when I opne WebsiteX12 there is nothing in my recently used files and it gives me the option to import. When I click on the file it says that its not a valid zip file. See attached. What do I do? How can I get my webiste back? Thank you

Anthony, what sort of update did you run?

Was it a Windows 10 update?

It seems odd that you can no longer see your project file/s. Have you searched your PC for project.iwprj files or *.iwzip files? Perhaps you are now using your PC as a different user (in which case your files will be under your old user name in the users directory)?

I installed version 11 and can see the files but then I get a message saying that its been created in a later version. No such luck in 12. I will attach the files to this message.

Anthony, sadly the iwzip files are generally way to big to attach or email, and the backups are of no value without the support files in the project directory. Have you tried rolling back to before the update (control panel, system, system restore)

You appear to be in my timezone (au), you are welcome to contact me (email or phone), you will find the details on my website www.esahc.com If necessary I can transfer an iwzip file if you will run teamviewer with me (I'm happy to supply details of how to get teamviewer_qs).

Hello Anthony,

please verify the path in the Preference windows of the software.

The default path is: C:\Users\yourusername\Documents\Incomedia\WebSite X5 v12 - Evolution\

If you change it you need reset the custom path.

If you have the file .iwzip but you can't open it, please try to upload the file with this service:

https://wetransfer.com/

and send me the link for the download so i can analyze it.

Thank you.

Did this get resolved? I am having the same problem. Cannot see any of my .iwzip files only project files.

Charlene, please start a new thread so we can look at your issues.

However, you will only find iwzip files if you have created them (export project), and you will only have backup files if the feature is turned on (down arrow next to save) and you have uploaded your site using the built in FTP engine.
