Hi,
I had a site created with the previous version.
Upgraded at the beginning of the year to latest. Ever since, i face problems. I tried changing from dynamic to static resizing based on the device used to browse several times, even to another template, back to same template, etc.
Honestly, I am getting crazy.
It shows fine in the preview and the problem is visible when published (online only)...
If you start clicking the menu items it gets fixed by itself after a while...
Please take a look http://www.vantaanwado-ryu.fi/etusivu.php
I welcome your feedback and ideas ;)
Thanks in advance !

Whilst I cannot see any problems if I start your site on the link provided, if I start from your home page the menus behave a little strange (disappear with mouse over).
Since it works fine for you in preview, it could be old files not being updated. You could test this by creating a directory in your public_html location (eg test), and loading your website into that directory. You would then access it as "www.domain-name.com/test" (eg http://www.vantaanwado-ryu.fi/test)
If that works you know you need to remove the old website and replace it or force the ftp engine to overwrite all files.
Let us know??

Hi,
Well, it did not actually help. I have been finding out that some features from the template in version 12 are not anymore possible to change in this version, so I started by reducing picture sizes, change size of FB frame, take away picture effects, so that I can stabilize part of the site until the weekend, when I will have to take a complete new standard template to work on from scratch within this X5 version...
Thanks for the help and ideas though, it gave me good hints to start finding some less frustrating and step wise way forward.
Cheers,
APT.-
Hello Andy,
If I open http://www.vantaanwado-ryu.fi/ then the hosting is loading the index.html page which is the old page since you have set as homepage http://www.vantaanwado-ryu.fi/etusivu.php and to make it work correctly you need to rename the page homepage in the page properties in step 3 from etusivu to index back and then export the complete project online.
Many thanks!

Hi Claudio,
Thank you so mcuh for your responce.
I have not tried yet as I had been forced to be absent for a while.
I am testing now your suggestion about the name, once online I will let you know.
Short additional question, running the analysis of the site I found"the robots.txt file is missing for this project"
How could this have happened? What does it mean in practice?
Cheers,
APT:-!

And... I remember the site map was something automatically created on one of the very old versions of the site, before many of modifications done across the also many different versions of the WebSiteX5 software.
So questions is, how to modify it? There is no automatic way to add all contents of site, I went page by page checking and those are all included, but there are some pictures which I dont find how to incldue in site map to avoid this: "Object not included in sitemap Position: (image1,2)"

I just changed the name of the page to index, problem persists.
Tried to attach screenshot but it was too big... picture of the problem showing things which are supposed to appear inside the black zone all around it...
using same order of ideas, I also tried removing from the properties the checkmark in the box to use a page name, now it seems to work fine.
Thanks!
Hello Andy,
It seems to me too all correct now.
About the message "Object not included in sitemap Position: (image1,2)" means on the page it shows you need to check the object on column 1 row 2 in step 4.
Many thanks!
