FTP File errors and programme Freezing?

While uploading my project via FTP I get a message saying that it is trying to reupload "error" files (quite a lot files marked with error on upload?). It then lists the 'error' files without any 'progression' and then the programme FREEZES! I have left the FTP session running for at least 4-hours but nothing happens (hence freeze). The only way to escape from this session is to do the Ctrl, Alt + Del to Task Manager and then End Task!
The end result is an uploaded website that is missing many files?
I have uploaded this Project many times before (with minor amendments) without any problems?
I am using Website X5 Evolution 13 - does anyone have any answers to this dilema? Davy.

David, it could be a poor internet connection, or your hosting server may be having issues (perhaps performing maintenance or backup?).
If in doubt you could also try Filezilla (free) to see if this succeeds or is perhaps a little more resilient.
Irrespective, once the site is up without errors, if you notice anything strange I recommend loading the site and overwriting all in case one or a number of files are corrupted.
