the menu is not in the template anymore, it is in v14 an object so that you can use it anywhere.

You can set the menu in template content for every viewport. the width and height is there also set (from the menu bar itself by draging) the menu itself is an object so duoble click it like other objects to configure.

Alos the side menu is there (TAB sidebar) but then you need to set it in the template structure that you have a side bar, and add if it's not there yet the menu bar object this is in template content the TAB side bar then.

Check the converion manual for changes from v13: https://helpcenter.websitex5.com/fr/post/154023

Also the help in x5 (F1 button) is very handy to look thing up.

Best Regards,

Hello Miltiadis

You double-click on the menu-object.

Then you will see all the styling possibilities.

Kind regards

John S.

Hello Miltiadis D.

Sorry but i did not do anything, I am a user just like you.

But Incomedia did this because there where a lot of question for multiple menu's and menu's on different places.

And that is now all possible, so you can now make a more profesional website by adding the menu wherever you want and also configurin it is better. But yes a bit more complex or some getting use to.

I must say I needed to switch as well, but now that I have worked a few times with the menu items I would prefer the way it is now above v13.

I wish that they could nade the files and pages interchanchable between versions

so we can make changes in V13 and copy paste into V14

Hello Miltiadis

You cannot copy paste from v13 to v14 BUT you can import a v13-project into v14 and THEN you can copy paste ( pages and/or objects )from this project to another v14 project.

Unfortunately the menu-object does not exist  in v13 so this object cannot.......

Kind regards

John S.

Find your menu object and then drag (like any other object) the menu size by using the white square drag options. make it bigger that shoud give you more space. Be aware that this needs to done for all 4 viewports.

Hello Miltiadis D.

a - where I adjust the color of the button ?In the menu object, select in pulldown menu item, see that the (back)ground image is deleted

http://help.websitex5.com/en/v14/pro/ogg_menu_tab1.htm

b - where I adjust the color size of the button shadow?

same as above, look in button style -> border, and in menu item -> border.

c - where I adjust the radious of the button ?

same as above, look in button style -> border,

d - where I adjust the space between buttons ?

same as above, look in button style, spacing (and margin might also help)

e - where I adjust the length of the button ?

same as above, look in button style, width0

Try also to use the help in x5 (press F1 on any place you are) it is very goor and it gives you an answer probably faster.

http://help.websitex5.com/en/v14/pro/ogg_menu.htm

But if it does not help, you are very welcome here as well.

Best Regards,

Hello Andre,

As you can see in the attachment there is a problem with

the button length it's stay fixed at 134 no matter what

all other functions are normal.

maybe in a new menu created with v14 it will work but imported from v13 it does not

I think you have a point there the 150 is definitly not correct, for the other wel I think x5 miscalculates the border line.

But still, can't you make the menu itself - the object- widtherYou should be able to adjust it to your needs.

I did an update as well from V13, this went without problems. The menu seems to work fine.

But I will ask Incomedia to check this post. Maybe it happens under certain condiions.

Thanks Miltiadis D.

Hello Miltiadis D.,

You are using an image as background for the buttons and the image width is not changed or adapted to the new one you set.

The same happens also in Version 13 in case you use an image. The only option is to save the image and then adapt it externally to the new width you want to use and then you import this new image in the menu.

You can use the right clicl option on it to save it so you can edit this background image.

Many thanks!

Hi Claudio,

I'm sorry but this is a picture the menu changes to picture picture

during the transition from V13 to V14

The link below contains the same file in V13 and V14.

the buttons in V13 are normal I changed the color, size and distance normaly no problem

In V14 I can't do nothing the are changed to pictures.

I have a lot of projects done with V13 and I have to do the menu changes in V13

and than open them in V14, that's not normal

Hello Miltiadis D.,

Thank you for the project. In Version 13 this style was made by using ther 3D button style options but in Version 14 these are no longer present and when converted these settings are saved as background image which then is set to the menu. In Version 14 now these are images and cannot be adapted since this option is not present and it will require or to adapt the image to fit to the new width or to change the menu style without using the background image on the buttons.

Many thanks!

See my earlyer asnwer(s)

just remove the pictures on the buttons and the behavior will be more logical. (use right mouse button on picture file in the button configuration menu's)

Don't forget to press F1 in x5 where ever you are in the program, there are a lot of answers there, this might save some time.
