I am using Evolution 14 to build my first website but I have screwed up. I looked at my index.html page and I have 2 <TITLES> 2 sets of <META NAME=KEYWORDS and 2 sets of METE NAME descriptions. I tried deleting the extra sets in Index.html files in the Upload and Preview folders but they are still there. The site is validated by Google but the Google Search Consul says "Your Sitemap appears to be an HTML page. Please use a supported sitemap format instead". The site www.potterers.co.uk works but is rather hard to find without the complete URL. Any ideas ? Pleeeze.

Yes, I already have that file created by the software and it's in the Upload folder. Am I supposed to use it some other way?

Hi Peter,
Have you perhaps added the metatags in the header of the webstite yourself as well as in the properties of the properties of the page?
You only need to add them to the page properties.
Have fun!

Yes. That's what happened. My website host told me to use Traffic Master to improve SEO. So that's what happened. i don't know how to edit these lines out though :-(
As for sitemap.xml problem. No idea. The file is in the upload folder......

Hi Peter,
your issue probably depends on the code which is either worng or it has not been correctly inserted. Unfortunately I cannot help you with the use of custom code. Generally speaking since the functions do not depend on WebSite X5, you can search useful information about the custom code with search engines like google or wait until someone on the community of Help Center can help you.
Thanks! Kind regards.

Thank you Elisa.
I have deleted excess 3rd party code from the server index.html file. And validator.w3.org is happy now. Unfortunately doing the same with my local files in the Upload and Preview folders has no effect as the code reappears. And obviously server copy overwritten each time I upload. If you are unable to point to any other place where this erroneous index.html code is hiding, I can live with it. It's irritating but not a show stopper for me.
Google is at least is happy with Sitemap.xml now. I don't know why but so what !!!
