Hi, yesterday i purchased the Tamarillo V13 template https://www.x5tuts.com/template/tamarillo-v13/ , and i cant seem to figure out how to edit the txt, in the txt box shown in the slider on the mainpage.

i checked all css and js files but cant find any responding txt from the original template that i could edit.

Could somebody help me how and or where to edit this text? i know something about HTML coding but not enough to write by myself.

(my website is currently not online yet, so i cant provide a link)

Any help would be much apreciated!

best regards.,

Jeffrey

Jeffrey, the text can almost certainly be changed in step 4, pages and simply edit the text object, but this was re-created by Jamie Bainbridge and frequently he does not use the most obvious techniques.

Since you purchased this from x5tuts, I suspect the easiest way to get the solution is to contact Jamie directly. He does turn up here a great deal, but you should be able to grab his attention even more quickly by contacting him through x5tuts (where you bought it) or the facebook page he uses to tout his wares.

Hi Esahc,

Thanks for your quick reply!

i have sent a messages on x5tuts, it's indeed not the most obvious techniques that are applied. dont get me wrong the template works like a charm!

but also for the slideshow on the main page i had to edit some file, it was not an object in page 4.

Bassicly the whole slideshow is in CSS and JS, thats proberly the reason why i am not able to edit in page 4

At the bottom if this page, http://www.templatemo.com/tm-399-tamarillo the CSS JS files are availbe for free download.

If you/somebody could have a look at that, and tell me how or where to edit the txt in the slideshow. that would be much! apreciated. im a bit of a noob when it comes to CSS and JS.

Many thanks already for your help!

Jeffrey - not having to edit HTML, CSS and JS is why we use WX5 :-)

I have left a post on Jamie's advertising facebook site, hopefully he will come to your aide soon.

Hi Eshac,

In X5 i just did an right mouse button with inspect source, and i found a string where the txt is located that i need/want to edit (see attachment)

You maybe know how to edit this?

thanks!

Sadly Jeffrey I do not.

Like I said, that is why I use WX5, so I never have to get my hands dirty by coding.

Are you sure that if you go to step 4 there is not a text box? (if there is you just double click on the text box and edit it)

All will be well! By the time you have worked it out you will easily be able to recreate this template with standard WX5 tools (and no clever code :-)
