That;s fun I am looking for a new door at the moment...
In the admin panel (place / admin behind your website you can test different scripts for mailing.
The login and password are in x5 step 1 -> acces management -> advanced tab
Test and see what scriptt works best.
Then set this script in step1 -> datamanagement
Check also your provider in there FAQ you should find rues for sending mail ,some have special rules (like you need to use and email adress from the provider)
That can also be an issue, so don't forget to check that as well if above does not work.
Goodluck.

Hi, i have just tested all of the script types and none of them are working? I asked the company that is hosting us and they said they cant work out what is stopping the mail from coming through either.
That is strange, what hosting provider do you have?

hi
since i purchased your software we have had several problems that needed your help. we now have finished our website and it is live. we cant get the email working so we have contacted you several times for help but it still does not work. when we purchased the software we were told it came with support but that just is not true. you may supply the best software in the world but your support stinks. all we seem to get in reply to our questions is a moderator.
i want to talk to someone who can help me solve my problem. it may be something we are doing wrong but unless you talk to us we dont know.
this is now very urgent so a speedy reply would be appreciated.
Hello William,
I see the urgency. and I will set this post for Incomedia to respond, so hold on for that a little while longer.
Still my question remains, if you answer it, I could be able to help you, if you don't it will probably take longer.
So please help me to get a better understanding, and also others here in the helpcenter, including Incomedia. So we can help you better and faster.
Incomedia is checking almost all posts, but they do not allways respond, if a responce from somebody else is good and does not need more comment, the post will only get longer and will be harder to read for others as well that look for a solution.
Thanks!
If you have other questions or problems please post them and we (users and moderators, but also Incomedia will do all we can to help you out.

Did you check also authenticated smtp from the admin panel?
explanation on how mailing from an email form works:
The mailing is not done by x5, but your provider sends the mail. They decide what security and what formats/scripts needs to bu used. (and unfurtunatly there are more then 1 ways to do this)
So x5 has many options and you need to choose the one that correspondends with your provider, else it wil not work. X5 can't know this in advance, you need to check this and set the correct fields in x5 in order to get it working.
Hi William,
I'll be more than glad to help you sort this issue out. I would like to remind you that if you believe a specific problem requires the assistance of the Staff specifically, you can always set your Topic as Private, so that only the Staff will be able to see it and will allow them to intervene faster.
You told me that none of the scripts is working right?
What hosting are you using at the moment? As Andre pointed out, and also resulting in that being the issue too:
"Check also your provider in there FAQ you should find rules for sending mail, some have special rules (like you need to use and email address from the provider)"
If none of the Scripts is working, that would most probably mean that the Provider has set up some kind of configuration which is stopping the emailing function to work.
What email are you using and what is the domain of your website?
Let me know
Stefano
