Our web hosting site partners has let us know that they are going to upgrade to PHP 7.
Now their support PHP hosting platforms PHP 5.3 to 5.6.
They advise us to upgrade to PHP 7.2
Our website is made with "Website x5 evolution 9". Can it also handle PHP 7, PHP 7.1, PHP 7.2

Arian, support for v9 has well and truly finished, so hopefully another user will know this answer. My guess is that it will continue to work.
Personally I would take the opportunity to upgrade to Evo v16
