Hello,
I have the latest version of Website X5 Pro. Can any one please guide me how to create a sticky social media icon bar with website X5? Is there any inbuilt solution? OR should I manually add HTML & CSS on all pages of my website?
Please help.
Thanks

Hello Amrish,
Sticky Social Icons are not possible with Website X5 but you can enable sticky bar and insert the Social Media Icons object to it to make the social icons sticky.
Sticky bar is available in Step 2:Template
Hope this will help you.
Thank you
Hello Amrish
You could use the sidebar for this. In template, you have the header, footer and sidebar.
If you make the sidebar sticky ( hide objects when scrolling ), then the objects you put on the sidebar will be visible on all pages, and will also be visible even when scrolling.
You can instead use code to put objects outside the page area and also make these objects sticky.
You can see an example here : http://eksempelsite.dk/information-buttons.html
You can also make objects visible and sticky on all pages by putting the code in the "Statistics, SEO and code - expert ) section.
An example of this can be seen here : http://calendarforum.dk/
It is a calendar that is visible on all pages and also sticky when scrolling. Instead of a calendar, it could be some social icons.
You could also put the social icons in the sticky bar at the top, as ANI say.
Kind regards

Hi Amrish,
thank you for your message.
You can reach this result by placing the social icons on the Lateral Bar and choosing the option Keep objects on view when scrolling pages on Step 2 -Template Structure.
Please let me know if I can be of further help. Kind regards.

Dear Friends,
Many thanks for your help. I am glad to inform you that I have found the solution. If you wish to have social icon stockybar in your website created with Website X5; follow the steps gven below.
1. Go to the page creation (step4)
2. Insert the HTML code (</>) object in any cell of the page
3. Click on Content (to enter the object content in the page)
4. Copy & Paste below html code in the content area of "HTML Code" Tab
<!-- Load font awesome icons -->
<link rel="stylesheet" href="https://use.fontawesome.com/releases/v5.3.1/css/all.css" integrity="sha384-mzrmE5qonljUremFsqc01SB46JvROS7bZs3IO2EmfFsd15uHvIt+Y8vEf7N7fWAU" crossorigin="anonymous"><!-- The social media icon bar -->
<div class="icon-bar">
<a href="#" class="facebook"><i class="fab fa-facebook"></i></a>
<a href="#" class="twitter"><i class="fab fa-twitter"></i></a>
<a href="#" class="google"><i class="fab fa-google"></i></a>
<a href="#" class="linkedin"><i class="fab fa-linkedin"></i></a>
<a href="#" class="youtube"><i class="fab fa-youtube"></i></a>
</div>
5. Now go to the Expert Tab and Copy & Paste the below code under the CSS code
/* Fixed/sticky icon bar (vertically aligned 50% from the top of the screen) */
.icon-bar {
position: fixed;
top: 50%;
-webkit-transform: translateY(-50%);
-ms-transform: translateY(-50%);
transform: translateY(-50%);
}/* Style the icon bar links */
.icon-bar a {
display: block;
text-align: center;
padding: 8px;
transition: all 0.3s ease;
color: white;
font-size: 32px;
}/* Style the social media icons with color, if you want */
.icon-bar a:hover {
transform: scale(1.20); /* (120% zoom - Note: if the zoom is too large, it will go outside of the viewport) */
}.facebook {
background: #3B5998;
color: white;
}.twitter {
background: #55ACEE;
color: white;
}.google {
background: #dd4b39;
color: white;
}.linkedin {
background: #007bb5;
color: white;
}.youtube {
background: #bb0000;
color: white;
}
6. Now preview the page, you will find Social icons for Facebook, Twitter, Google, LinkedIn and Youtube.
7. Repeat this excerise on all the pages of your site.
Note: Just replace the # with the link of your real Social Ids. Also, you can tweak these codes to your requirements. For example I have given the hover effect to zoom the icons to 120% (refer CSS Code).
I hope, this will be helpful users like me!
Thanks & Best Regards,
Amrish
