Great help for fixing graphics on Apple devices  en

I want to thank KolAsim for helping me getting correct graphics on all Apple devices (iPhone, iPod, etc.). The code he provided made it's job.

@INCOMEDIA! Why don't you implement this solution in WSX5? Now, when iPhone users access webpages through the smartphone, it is necessary to show each page/graphics correctly on these devices!

Hi Thomas.

In order to better understand the issue you've reported and being able to properly address the issue, I would like to ask the following of you.

I believe you now fixed the issue with your website with the custom code you were given. Would it be possible for you to upload the website WITHOUT that code to some subfolder you can link here to me so that I might analyze the issue properly?

This way, it would be much easier for me to forward the matter to the developers, after a proper examination of the reason for the error

Thank you for your understanding

Stefano

Just curious. What was the problem with graphics on Apple devices? I haven’t observed any issues.

Sorry, Stefano! I missed your asking for the link to the page WITHOUT KolAsim's code.

Here it is: http://www.ownitconsignment.com/ResTest

On the PC, changing the size of the frame (resolution) works fine. The background image is correct.

On iPhone/iPod devices the background is incorrect, though.

I hope it will help you to find the problem and implement the fix in the very next release...smile

Hi Thomas.

I've analyzed the issue you mentioned. What is actually not quite right is that this is supposed not to work on Android too, not just iOS.

The reason for this is that the way that Website generated that fixed background is by using a specific CSS property which is by default disabled for all mobile devices, because of its performance cost.

I can confirm that the developers are aware of this, and have been discussing the issue extendedly.

Unfortunately, as of now there is still no official solution to this, but I can confirm that it has been analyzed and is currently being worked on by the developers.

As soon as news is available on this, it will be notified in the current changelog.

Thank you for your patience

Stefano

Thank you, Stefano, for your response. It explains what the problem is.

But if it comes to Android phone(s) - it works for me! Waiting patiently for the fix!

Tom
