Where is website x5 16 after installation of website x5 17

Where is the version 16 of programm? Why stable version 16 of programm were changed into unstable (for sure according to history of programm) version 17? It should be near by old version as before till time it would be stable...

thank you for your message.
Even if WebSite X5 17 is installed on WebSite X5 16, v16 will always be available and downloadable from the "Downoad" section of your profile. This version will be installed in a separate folder. Please remember to duplicate your projects before converting them, so you have them available for both v16 and v17.

Something is wrong with version 16 and 17 together - they shouldn't use the same folders for projects...

by downloading WebSite X5 16 separately from the "Download" section of your profile, a new folder will be created, so they won't be sharing any folder.

But isn't that the "another way around?" To first as it seems that there is be done a "clean" V17 install, but later it is clear that it is an update...
Why not, during the installation procedure the option to "update V16" or "separate install"?

There was a problem when v17 was released. This "problem" was resolved by releasing a new version of v16 for download from your profile. Note that the version number did not change, v16.3.1 as currently available is different to v16.3.1 originally available.
