About a year ago I had the same problems how my website was shown my on an older IPad, you solved that problem by making an update hope you can do that again

Slegers, you could try a different layout (2x2) or perhaps a different optional object (swiper glide slider available in advent calendar today and hopefully boxing day?). Please also make sure there are no empty cells on the page, add an object (eg txt, html) but you do not need to add content.

Others with older ipads have also had similar issues,  you may wish to read

Dear Esahc, thanks for your answer, unfortunately it didn't work. I made adifferent layout and filled up the empty cells, but the result is still the same on my IPad (iOS 8.3). The attachment is how it looks on my iPad, later I will send you how it should look like. Perhaps you can look in my earlier posts, about a year ago, then the problem was solved by an update.... Up to me it's the same problem

Sadly I suspect that the new grid feature is not compatible with old Apple software. It is a pity that Apple does not support long time users by allowing updates.

Thanks for replying, Last March I also had the problem that my website was not shown correctly on my IPad. After a lot of suggestions website5.com made an update which solved the problem. Perhaps that could be the solution?? ( see my earlier posts, March 2018)

My IPad is/can only be updated to iOS 9.3.5.

greetings

Thanx but no thanx, chrome and Firefox are updated, but still with the same results, in my opinion its in the software of website 5 V17 , it's missing something, because since the last update, a few weeks ago, I have this problem and like in March 2018 the problem only appears in an older IPad.

Hi Slegers.

Unfortunately, the latest version available of Safari in iOS 9.3.5 does not support the latest Grid CSS technologies, and so v17.

As of now, the only possibility would be  upgrade the browser version which unfortunately is not available for devices with iOS 9.3.5. Also, as you pointed out, it seems like also the Chrome version of the browser wasn't update anymore for such iOS version, thus not allowing the Grid CSS to work

You can check all of this information here where official support per browser is shown:

https://caniuse.com/#feat=css-grid

Let me know if I can provide further information on this

Thank you for your understanding

Stefano
