Controlling area of each block created by row and columns on a web page  en

I am using website x5 professional version 12 to make my web site.

I have divided my web page in to several rows and columns.

I have several blocks empty at present while I am developing my web page.

I added a text object in one of the area, when I preview my page the area occupied by that text expands to large part which is now empty. To make it clearer, I have divided the total page length in to eight rows and four column. I put small text in area between first row first columns. I combined second and third row of column 1 and inserted an image. I kept area between 4,5,6 row and first column empty. Put Gallery in seventh and eight row. Second column is still empty. There are some object in column 3 and 4.

When I preview my page, text in first row and image below are expanded to occupy full length of my web page above the gallery.

Every time I add an object in any area  sub divided by me, the appearance of page changes. That confuses me about the page layout.

Is there any way to insert the object in fixed area that I identified for specific object?

Hi Yask S. you have to go over the responsive view and set the correct order for each element, maybe hide elements for smaller viewports and set line breaks afterwards. The problem in your layout is, that blank blocks couldn't be edited in the responsive view. In principle there should be no blank/empty column or line blocks. So try to add dummy text objects in the blanks and check if your layout is working so far. Afterwards you fill it up with content and optimize your layout.

Can you provide an online link to your site??

If you are using a gallery, you can constrain the size of the object, or if using an image you can resize it appropriately before inserting it. As a general rule (even more important in later versions), do not leave empty cells.
