Date Formating - Blogs

Is there a way to change the date formatting with the blog settings? The current format is not the typical format that is used here in the United States, MM/DD/YYYY, and currently display as DD/MM/YYYY.

Yes Marcus,
Go to the language settings in step1.
search for date_format, then change it the way you like it. save and upload again.
( I have not tested it but i think it should also work on the blog)

Thanks Andre, that almost got it....but the "publication date" for the blog post stays formated unchanged.....

Also online?, this is in x5, so not a big issue I suppose..?
if it is online not good then Incomedia needs to check this. For x5 itself I am not sure if there is a better language install.
