These are 2 JS that are slowing down the loading of the mobile site, can someone tell me what these are referencing to on the website?  Do I need them or can I go in and remove these 2 lines of script to eliminate them?

<script src="res/x5engine.deferrable.js?2019-1-6-0"></script>

<script src="res/x5cartengine.js?2019-1-6-0"></script>

On a earlier message, I spoke about a .htaccess file.  My server that is used to host my site I found out is a Microsoft-iis/7.0.  From what I read on-line was this isn't a easy to implement compression.  Any suggestions?

Hello. These scripts are needed for normal site operation. Do not remove them.

"From what I read on-line was this isn't a easy to implement compression. Any suggestions?" - ask your hosting provider about this.

I would have thought the same thing.  I did ask him about it and he replied that he that he no able to work with  code.  I'm not great at it, but can usually get through it.  My next move will be to change servers/hosting service if need be.

Thanks for the point in the right direction.  I came to the conclusion that it wouldn't be a .htaccess file.  Will look in the direction of web.config, .... thanks.

"My next move will be to change servers/hosting service if need be" - I agree with you.I recommend to look for Linux hosting with ModPagespeed support. This module allows you to configure many parameters to optimize the download speed of the site.

I'm not sure, but it seems that such companies have support for this module:

  1. https://www.siteground.com/
  2. https://www.godaddy.com/hosting/web-hosting
  3. https://help.dreamhost.com/hc/en-us

Be sure to first ask the technical support of these hosting sites about the availability of the options you need.

If you find more hosting with the support of this module, please send links to them by mail ***.
