UPDATING WEBSITE X5 V19.4

I am getting the same or similar problem. X5 tells me there is an update, I tell it to go ahead, and the green bar gets about 50% across the screen on 'installing new files'. I then get "It was not possible to install the files on your computer. Please verify that all programs are closed and restart the update.
I will now try installing from the full installer I have just downloaded.
Like the OP this is my laptop, the desktop worked normally.

On starting the install I am told:
The follwoing applications are using files that need to be updated by Setup. ...
"Incomedia Website X5 Evo
Cefsharp.BrowserSubprocess"
I tell it to auto-close and it failed to do so.
Auteur
Killed Cefsharp.BrowserSubprocess in Task Manager.
Auto-update failed the same a previously.
Re-install from new download worked.
