Hello Kev,

Position your mouse directly over the icon depicting the Text Object/Image Object/HTML Object, etc...  press and hold down the left mouse button...  now drag the Object to its new position by moving your mouse, and release left mouse button when finished.

If you position an Object over an existing Object then the two will swap places.

If you need to create a new row then you can do so using the button highlighted below:

Kind regards,

Paul

If there is more than one Object in the row then you will have to reposition each one individually...  however, the speed with which you can drag and drop Objects means that this should not take long at all.

You can also right-click on any existing Object in the Page Creation screen and either 'Cut' or 'Copy' it to a new location...  even a completely different page of your project.

Hi Paul, thanks for your reply.

This doesn't seem to work for me. I am using the EVO version, I note you have PRO.

Does that make a difference ?

Cheers

Kev

No, that shouldn't make any difference, Kev.

Are you placing your mouse directly over each Object's icon before clicking and holding down the left mouse button?

What happens if you right-click and attempt to cut or copy an Object?  Are you able to do that?

Doh, sorry I mis-understood !!

So, I have to create a new row where I want it and move the objects ?

Is there a good resource for tutorials on the web anywhere?

Thanks for your help.

Kev

You only need to create a new row if there is no room left on the Page Creation screen, and you don't want Objects to 'swap' positions.  Like I said previously, dropping an Object on top of another Object will make them change places with each other, which can be quite useful.

But the WebSite X5 manual itself is extremely well written and very detailed, and is often overlooked:

Good luck!

Thanks Paul, like anything new, just takes a bit of getting used to, especially to an old duffer like me.

FYI, my first attempt is at - http://www.kevgraylm.co.uk/ - still being built for a 'world event' coming up in October.

Cheers
