This ( and many other things ) has been a wish for manu users for many years.
The shop needs to be converted to a database based shop - and only INCOMEDIA can change that. The question is when and if they want to.
In x5 you can't set a table in the dynamic content.
As John pointed out there are feutures that have been asked for specially for the shop from many users.
Also a customer portal, but a superviser portal that can make changes in the shop is also usefull.
At the moment the only thing to do is create an IDEA post and hope Incomedia can create something in the future.
Remember x5 is made to create website's and is not an CMS system.
There are also some posts (also from John if i remember correctly) to use a different shop / software within x5 that is free and has more possibilities. Maybe other users can point you for this, if that helps you, in the right direction.
I have used a product called Caspio Bridge, which is subscription based, to place queries and reports into web pages with just some basic html links. Works great for customer to look up things, register, etc. Its not a shopping cart but is a database very close to MS Access in function. I found it easy to use, just hate the price!

(It > En) ... as an idea! ... you could make your table with the spreadsheet on Google Document; ... can be updated or modified online, and then published on the site via IFRAME; very simple...

ciao

Hi Sirichan,
thank you for getting in touch.
As this option is unfortunately currently not available, I set this message as Idea so to report your suggestion.
Thanks! Kind regards.

Actually I decided to buy X5 pro because of dynamic content option and expected dynamic content can do more, but seems it's just like Ms.Word. I disappointed.....
Thanks for all advise.
Hello Sirichan
If your need is not a shop, but a data-area where you can view, create and edit data based upon a users credentials, then I would suggest a database tool like AppGini. This is also not a CRM system, but you can create a CRM system with it. You can have data in tables and view a record in a table in detail view. A field can be a rich-text field that can hold text, images and links.
You can have users belonging to a group and for each group you can set how acces should be to a table.
Allowed to create new records, allowed to edit records ( all or own ) allowed to view data ( all or own ) delete records and so on.
a link here https://bigprof.com/appgini/ and you can see a demo here https://bigprof.com/demo/index.php
The software is not free but has an affordable price.
The software creates all the neccessary files for a project. It is easy to integrate in X5, and as standard it is set up to be allowed to run in an iframe on the same domain. It will be perfect if you use X5 to design your site and use another tool ( AppGini or another tool ) to create the CRM you want.
It has built in features as filtering and sorting and quick search.
If you are not so ( or at all ) experienced with PHP and JS, then you can make a simple CRM system with AppGini.
If you are experienced you can make an advanced CRM system with AppGini, as it has a smart feature where you can make moderations via hooks.
Here http://bramminginfo.dk/oversigt.html is a link to a page where I have integrated a very simple AppGini application.
The login screen is not made visible, but if you log in, then you would be allowed to edit data.
If you click on one of the records that has an asterisk (*) in the name, then you will see a detail view with extra text and images.
You can make a quick search for the * and then you see only records with extra text.
Hope this will inspire you on your way to a solution.

Hi John, your App is interesting, but I don't have time to try a new app and have to download and learn...
I think I will let it so....X5 should provide better solution for cms.
Thank you for your suggestion.
(It > En) ... but it is very simple, without any difficulty ...
... you can copy the formatted table from your WordProcessor (OOoWriter) or from your Spreadsheet (OOoCalc), and then be able to edit the data all the time directly online ...
