Credits payment system !!!!!!!!!!  en

Hi All,

From the users viewpoint the “credits” system is fundamentally flawed and set so that Incomedia is always in a win and win again situation.

The reasons that I believe the “credits” system is flawed are:

You can only purchase credits of 85, 55 or 25, if you only immediately use say 16 credits, then the remaining value (cost) of the credits is in Incomedia’s bank account (not yours) and thereby earning them interest. If by the time, the year’s expiry date is reached and you have sufficient credits left you end up buying something that you did not particularly want or you end up losing the credits. Or if you have a small amount of credits left, you end up having to make the choice of buying more credits and starting on the locked in credits treadmill again or opt to let them expire, either way Incomedia wins.

Perhaps if Elisa. B, (who I think does a fantastic job, albeit having to follow the Incomedia party line) is reading this post; she could let us know just how many “credits” on average expire each year?

I believe that having an expiry date for credits is basically theft, however if there is a sound reason other than to make Incomedia more money for having credits expire, why don’t Incomedia donate the value of expired credits each year to a well-known and recognised charity. They could even allow the users to choose the charity from a selected list.   

By only being able to buy credits in quantities of 85, 55 or 25 rather than the amount of credits actually required to buy the object that you require results in Incomedia sitting on unused credits every month in their accounts. Perhaps Elisa. B could tell us the average amount of outstanding credits that remain unused each month and the approximate financial value? 

 I hope that Incomedia will take on board the user’s frustration and anger at a payment system that “rips” them off and come up with a more acceptable method of buying additional extras.

 On a more positive note, I would like to thank the forum users and in particular, the moderators who give up vast amounts of their time and provide invaluable help and advice free of charge. In addition, a big thank you to Elisa.B and the rest of the Incomedia team for their help throughout the year.

And I agree, they should not expire, and that's just it. I bought some money for the Google -android- play store, i needed to buy at least  € 10.- store money. I just needed 0.89 cents. This was many, many years ago! I now stil have about € 8.00  left in money. Incomedia should do the same! This is the best way for everybody, paying for everything seperatly is also costly in administration and so on....

So let's be realistic, Elisa have said that the information is send to the people that can do something about it.  

Let's give Incomedia some time, i think i can speak for all user's that nobody want's to lose money this way, bury the Tomahawk for now, let's have Christmas and check on this topic again in a few months to see if Incomedia has responded.

It looks like Incomedia have clearly made up their minds to continue to "rip" of their loyal customers. 

I have now said all that I can on this subject, so wont I pull the Tomahawk back out of the ground,

but like most users I am not happy.

Yes, thats the link i already posted.

Incomedia made there dicision after the first post was made so the conclusion is that they do not intend to change it.

All i can say is that it is a poor decision. They should realy not expire, but if that's the way they work then that's it. We have givin it a lot weight and it seems they do not listen.

The only thing to do is to be extra carefull what you buy in credits, or leave them and find another solution.

it's a pitty, it was a good and honest post with very good arguments from Jim and Duncan.

Hope they will reconsider in the future, or maybe a future EU law wil put an end to it.
