Hi All,
I get an error when importing an backup project. "There is an error in XML document 2112519, 21"
Note old pc crashed where this backup was made so I need to import this file. I used the old 11 and bought new license EVO.
Thanks.

Rigonald to the best of my knowledge there is no direct upgrade from v11 to v2019.
Please advise if you also have an iwzip of your project created on the crashed PC, at this stage I will assume you do not.
If you have not already done so, please go to your profile (top right) and select download and install v11. You can also retrieve your activation key from license if necessary.
If you have access to the old HD, you need to go to your documents and copy the Incomedia folder to your documents on your new PC.
With luck you will then be able to simply open your project in v11 on the new PC. If this does not work, please advise and we can tell you how to manually attempt recovery using any backup files that may exist.
If you can get your project working in v11 we will get you to create an iwzip (step5, export project) and someone here can import and upgrade it thru to v2019 if you wish.

Small update within version 11 it import but doesn't load same error.
Rigonald, that is great, I would be happy to assist, but 50gig is huge!
Can you recreate the iwzip without backups and preview and advise the size?
Contact me via https://www.esahc.com if you would rather not make your project available to everyone.
Rigonald, I mislead you I am sorry.
I do believe you can upgrade directly from v11 to v2019 (I wrongly thought v14 was the oldest that could be upgraded).
BUT
There is a problem with older iwzip files being upgraded to much later versions. You can fix this if you wish and the project should upgrade.
Make a copy of your v11 .iwzip file and rename it as .zip
Export all the contents of the zip file using standard windows explorer.
Now create a new zip file of the project (I used 7-zip) and when created rename this .zip as .iwzip
The project should now import into v2019 without the error in xml document.
Good luck
