V2020.1.4 Further Development on Shopping Cart Search  en

I like the new "Shopping Cart Search" function on the new Pro version however, for me, it's not as practical as I would have hoped for.

I have an online health shop with many product pages / categories and have been using the "Menu Object" to act as a kind of "search" for my customers.  I have added the relevant level of Menu Object to each individual product page / category which works well.  Using this method I am able to add unique content / text / images / etc. that distinguishes each page (in Google's eyes) to help to some degree with S.E.O.

The problem I have with the new Shopping Cart Search is I cannot add any content to it or use it individually on specific pages unless I add some kind of link at the top of a page which links to the Shopping Cart Search.

I would have preferred it to be more flexible than it is and unfortunately cannot use it in its current state.

I think it would have been better to be able to use it as an "Object" giving more flexibility as with the Menu Object and somehow integrate it with the "Search Field Object" so that when a customer searches via this function the Shopping Cart Search is also available.

Just my suggestion for future development.

I would also appreciate it if anyone can show me their own website examples of how they have used the new Shopping Cart Search so I can have a better viewpoint on usage.

Thanks, Nigel.

Thanks Giuseppe, I appreciate that and have seen that method already.  I prefer the search to be visible on the page though such as I have done with the Menu Object - example: http://www.thetahealth.co.za/human-growth-hormone-supplements.html

Giuseppe, I know you create excellent websites; do you have a website sample online so I can see how you've used it? Thanks.

This new function was to be integrated into the product catalog.

I wait before buying.

Hi Nigel... Yes, I put online a my example of an E-Commerce Template with the "product search function with filters" (the item can be found in the navigation menu or you can find the "Product Search" button in the Shop page):

Thanks Giuseppe.  I like your site and see how you've implemented it but I'm still not convinced in using the Product Search.  Currently it's just not good enough for me to make any changes to my website.
