Thanks for the screenshots, Bill.  I can't see that you've done much wrong so far, but email settings can be tricky.  By the way, I sent a brief test message using your Contact Form a few moments ago...  please ignore it.

A few thoughts...

Just to start with simple things...  did you definitely reupload to the server after filling in the fields for the confirmation email?  I'm sure you will have done, but if not then please go ahead and do so now.  The changes won't take effect to the Contact Form Object until the files on the server have been refreshed.

It's also a good idea (when troubleshooting anything within WebSite X5) to hold down the CTRL key and enter the Preview mode in WebSite X5 before uploading to the server.  This regenerates your project files afresh.

As a secondary diagnostic step, can you please remove the tick from the checkbox in the confirmation field entitled 'Include the collected data'  -  some servers can be fussy about this setting, and it will be useful to see if the confirmation email gets through without it selected.

The next step would be to get back in touch with your hosting provider, and ask them to carefully check the error logs on your server.  Each time an email failure occurs, a note is made of this in the server logs.  These notes can be crucial in helping you work out exactly what is going wrong.

Is the email address you are using (sandy_at_psychology-counselling.com) a brand new address by any chance?  I notice that it differs from the other email address listed on your site.  Has the email account been set up fully on the server with SPF, DKIM and DMARC records, and do you have authority to send email from that address?  Your host will be able to advise.

Still the same can recieve data but not send conformation to the user. Tried all your suggestions. The email address I am using has been around for some time I have used it because the hosting will not recognise anything without the domain present.

Just a thaught. I have another website for our yachat club dinners using e commers to select from the menue. That works fine and sends a reply mesage. Are the settings for the reply email the same as oneanother.

Hi Again 

I have use yet another email address for my iclod account. I again recieve the data but no conformation to the sender. I looks increasingly like the host is rejecting everything that does not have the site url name in it.

That's quite common nowadays, Bill, as it helps to cut down on spam.

But what do the error logs on the server say?  If you can ask your webhost for this information then you will probably strike gold in terms of a definitive answer to the issue.

If I understand correctly, it seems like the emails do get sent to some email addresses. It's just some other addressed that do not receive the confirmation email

Can you please provide here to me some examples of emails that receive the confirmation and emails that don't?

I strongly believe this is something related to the hosting's filtering system, so I'm not sure there's anything that can be done software-side, but I would like to verify this for you anyway

Its every email that does not have psychology-counselling in the address. 

However I have had extensive talks with my hosting companey. They say that I have all the permissions necessary and at thi stage cannot change their settings but will work on it and get back to me.

I have come up with a work round as follows.

1. I hace created an email address with psychology-counselling in the address which i will use exclusivly on the website and not use for general use.

2. I have created a reply rule within that address saying what i wish to say to my visitors.

3. If i turn off the reply to sender within the developer is does not work so the hosting softwere needs that message to work with it. 

4. I have tested it on differant email addresses and it now works fine. (Dont know why)

I completely agree with Stefano that the issues are server side and hosting related.

Please note the following extract from the error logs in particular:

Your domain name has a hyphen between the words psychology and counselling, but something on the server has replaced this with an 'equals sign'.

You are correct. I have spent just as much time talking to server people. Finally convinced them that the fault is with the, thanks to your good advice. I very much appreciate your time and expertees in solving this problem.

Working absolutely fine now. No problems.
