I am trying to set up a blog page. I have creared all the necessary fields by following the instructions given. However I was unable to see how to ger to it from the website. I therfore added the Blog widget.

I keep getting the error message "To use this Object you must set the '.php' file extention for the current page, in step 3 - Page properties.

I am unable to set the file extention because the 'File Name Format is grayed out' and not operative.

How do I set the '.php' please.

When I load to the server the files move to differant place on the page. Grate on the preview.

Please can you advise.

Bill

Hello Bill,

If the 'File Name Format' field is grayed out then that suggests that WebSite X5 has already automatically changed the file extension for the page in question.  What is showing in the grayed out field?  Is it 'php' (as below)?

To investigate further, can you please supply a link to the webpage in question?

If you want to add a link to your blog in your website menu (for easy access) then you can use the instructions in the following article:

How to insert a link to the Blog in the navigation menu?

Kind regards,

Paul
