My laptop was authomatically shut down before saving the project i was working on and trying to open it again has not be successful, as i keep getting the (object reference not set to an instance of an object) Please help in simple explanation how i can get it restore as i am not proffesional website builder

maybe x5 got damaged, download top right next to your name pulldown latest version.
install that one and try again. also try a backup if possible.

Than you so much Andre. I have got the latest version but i have been unable to import the back up version. What is the correct way to save the file so i can import on the latest version? or alternative step do i need to take to restore the site and import to the latest version. Looking forward to your urgent response . Thanks
You can do the re-install anyway.
so download latest version as i already said and install that one and see if this has helped.
It won't hurt the already available projects.
But best way to export is step5 export project. But then you have to able to load first.
And if you have older backup's from step5, you can import them with the import button in project settings.
