Is there any way to make a dropdown menu item a hyperlink to an anchor point on an existing page?
I want to make a a dropdown list of many items, each of which goes directly to an anchor point on one large page.

Yes you can make a menu by using the new level optin in step3, there you can set, using properties button, a link.
