Contact Form Date Field

The date field in the contact Form object is not displayed as a date. Even though you specify a certain format e.g. 12/02/2021 the field allows anything to be inserted and not a date format. It seem to be npo different from a text field. Am I missing something.

I've verified this as well and I can confirm that this is the behavior that the field is currently displaying.
I've reported the issue to the developers so that this can be kept under consideration for fixing since, as of now, any text could be inserted
