Website X5 Manager  en

I just updated to Website X5 Pro and Installed the Website X5 Manager app on my iPod. My question is I'm having difficulty in adding my website to the Website X5 Manager app.

I don't have a Username, I tried my email address, and that didn't work...so I thought I would use the "scan the QR Code" option, but I don't understand how to access the Website X5 Manager section....because I don't know how to access the websites control panel. I've had my website up and running since 2012, but this is the first time I've tried the Website X5 Manager app, and it's a little tricky getting started.

Hello Warren,

The login for the admin panel is in x5 step1 -> advanced TAB -> acces management, see admin section.

After that you can add it with the barcode from the admin panel.

I have spent two days trying to figure this out, it is not user friendly!

I hate to jump on the bandwagon, but I have been having this problem for days. I even went to the screen you were referring to (where you add users) and typed in all that information and it still says; This website can't be added, please verify with your internet provider if you have the necessary permissions to proceed.

Lauren, just checking because i just don't now.

  • Do you use, special characters, some can give trouble, keep it to the standard, like questionmark or percentage sign or similair, don't use quotes or smaller or bigger then (arrow kind of signs) for instance in the password.
  • Are capitals correctly entered?
  • Is the website correctly entered? (http or https) is this also correct in x5 itself?
  • Try else to delete all data from x5 app, or remove app and reinstall!

@ Warren do you have same issue can you get to admin panel but does x5 app not pickup the data?

Let us know!

reluctantly I deleted the the app to try it again (I had 4 websites on the app, so You see why I say reluctantly) It still does not work. I do recall when I go to upload the website I get an error about the name that makes no sense. it says my website name is not correct and has a ! by the domain and the box I put /public_html  (I checked plenty of times and the name(s) seem to be correct and upload correctly but I'm now wondering if this is an issue

Hello Lauren,
I understand, it's not sometithing to do easy especialy if updating does not work. It solved sometimes for me because i am also struggeling with x5 app.

public_html sound soog, but you don't need to set that in step 5 for the url. But a ! sign means the website adres is not correct, make sure that this is because it's an importand part for correct working website.

Else remove the url in step5, then select the folder icon and select the upload folder manualy, after that x5 will set correct adress automaticly. Then check and try again
