Menu not working- want all on one column- spreads it all out to the right

Using Website X5 EVO 2021.2.5 (just updated version)
I have been using the same menu for years. Vertical menu on left side.
Somehow the menu stopped working, so I deleted it and put a new menu OBJECT
template content, SIDE BAR, inserted MENU OBJECT. I discovered that when I first put the menu object on it only shows as a hamburger menu. I then have to widen the menu area, but now the menu is spread out side to side. I only want the regular vertical menu (not the hamburger menu) going from top to bottom on the left side. How do I do this?

Hello. To get rid of the hamburger menu, you need to choose the appropriate size (width) of the menu area. But the width should not be too large, otherwise the menu will be displayed in several columns.
