"Check Word" in Contact Form  en

I created a registration form in Contact Form.  The "Check Word" appeared just above the "Send" button.  Cold you please show me where I could go to edit that?  I cannot remember if I added that.  Also any more detailed information/instruction?

Thank you.

Thanks Klaus S,

I found where this is enabled.  In Contact Form Object >>Send, then check 'Enable Captcha'.

I also tried what you showed above and it will work. But after closing and restarting the program it is back to the same problem - there are no letters/numbers appearing in Check Word.

Perhaps any of the moderators can let me know what is causing this?

Thanks

I would recommend you to take the Google reCaptcha , because the internal captcha is usually not readable with the small images. Or you can insert a security question.

Sam, if you a checking in the preview browser, try ctrl+preview to clear the preview cache and force a full regeneration of the site. If you are previewing in a normal browser, use CTRL+F5 to flush the cache. For the record I agree with Andreas. I always use the check question eg https://www.u3abassvalley.com/contact.html

Thanks Andreas and Esahc.

I thought of Google reCaptcha - added cost?

I reconsidered 'check question' and thought of just asking a more complex question.

Will think of something.

Thanks both for the inspiration.

No, Google Captcha is free of charge.
