I 've just seen an e-mail "WebSite X5 Workshop: 100 Minutes" and it sounds like bad joke - Incomedia sells MANUAL in promotion.
The next borders were crossed by them in looking for extra money...

From 1. april 2022, it will cost one credit to make a post on this forum.
Just joking - I hope..........
I was also amazed to see that it was paying!
But big luck we get a discount !
"€19,95 instead of €49,95"
Just another insult to scorn their customers

For you it is a joke, for their management - good idea :(
bitcoin accepted ?
Yeah Incomedia has every right to market their products and make capital just like any other business, what are they, the odd man out or something and some kind of exception to the rule?
I'd like to see if people are still so eager to give a company a hard time after they've gone under due to lack of capital to fund their business day to day operations with employees, developers, etc. Are you guys trying to see the company go under and no longer be able to continue developement of their software due to reasons stated above already?
My advice to you is to chill out and let Incomedia make their money as any other legitamate business would, as your putting peoples very livelihoods at stake in that many of us have way to much invested in this software and feeding our own families, and to just sit back and allow people to give this company a hard time for selling a legit marketing video on how to best use one of their own products for goodness sakes is unacceptable! Chill,,, Out!
Kind Regards
One thing that can make a company go under is, if they don't follow the wishes from the market.
Some users on this forum seem to love INCOMEDIA whatever they do or not do - and that is their right.
Some users want INCOMEDIA to make a product that meet their users needs. And they do this by implementing good functionality in the product - and not by smart marketing.
I could mention many things but will only mention one: When will we have a e-commerce that is database based, so that clients can edit/add products and prices online. Before we have such a solution we cannotv make a PRO product to a customer. They laugh when you tell them they have to buy the X5 and maintain products in a program and then afterwards upload the project to the web.
Don't misunderstand me - I like the X5. But I would soon like to see some new useful functionality in the product.

I completely disagree. Incomedia is a company that makes a programm for making websites. So selling manuals to it is not a business, is some kind of blackmail.
I understand and fully accept that Axel or Aleksej H. sell some kind of improvments of this programm or better manuals for understanding the programm but they complement things the producer doesn't supply. The producer should sell good programm (even for higher price if they think present price is too small - market decides) but selling manuals to their programm? It is similar if tax office sells manuals to their tax forms - something disgusting for me.
Hi All,
I agree with Andrzej.K, Incomedia should charge a “realistic” price for their software and therefore remain in business. I believe that X5 is a very good product, however (and a big however at that), I do not expect to buy a new car then have to pay more if I want a steering wheel.
I really can’t make up my mind whether Incomedia is being driven by marketing people who are obviously out of touch with the real world. Or that the software developers are so bad that they cannot design the software without removing existing features and creating new bugs. Every update seems to be three steps forward and four steps back. Do the software developers never listen to their users requests and needs or is it that they are incapable of meeting those requests and needs.
One can but live in hope.

What a useless excitement is that! The mail does not sell a manual but a workshop and this is nothing other than what a lot of other software providers do. The manual is freely available online:
http://help.websitex5.com/en/v2021.4/pro/index.html
and instructions can be found here:

@Franck Josef
Generally a workshop is dedicated to users which have the knowledege of the product (WSX5 or other) , and also it is for a specific "touchy" feature to configure into a software. It is often little bit technical too.
By example with WSX5 a worhsop to know how to add a custom payment gateway, should be a workshop
But explain how to configure Paypal or a wire transfer into WSX5 is a simple tuto.
Here it is a video to know how to use the software quickly to create a website. for dummy users...
So for me it is not a worshop but a video tutorial very basic ! very expensive and not in our scope because we have already bought the licence, and used it.
So to send us an email is stupid. we are not the good target.
Enjoy!
Axel
@Axel Example Car:
Is it explained to you (in a new car by the seller) how an oil change works or how to install a new car radio? Or how the electronics react when you switch to "ASP"? Even where to check the oil level is not shown. It is explained to you the most important controls to operate the car and nothing else.

Andreas S. - explanation how to built a website is (in compare to your example) to show how to change gears, how to fill fuel, light on/off, etc. They don't exlain how php works in website or how to change ready java scripts...
---
Excuse me, but...
it is true that the "course" or "workshop", call it what you like, costs 20€ ... but, it seems to me that nobody is obliged to do it ...
and it is certainly addressed to the "beginners" as also explained in the email...
"The video course is designed for those who are new to WebSite X5 and want to learn the basic operation of the software to quickly create their first website."
This does not exclude that tomorrow they will prepare an "advanced" course for other things...
I doubt they will ever explain how to integrate extra code, php, or javascript ... but that seems normal to me.

Hello,
please consider if you do not wish to purchase the video course, which has been released by investing time, resources as well as the work of people of different levels and which is also therefore available upon payment, you can of course rely on all the other tutorials and guides which you can find on our Guide section, as well as for free on our YouTube channel.
Thank you! Have a nice day.
...!... in fact they do not explain how to repair a dent or a puncture which are EXTRA factors...!...
... this depends on your cultural background, and in the absence of this, here in the HelpCenter you will find hundreds of EXTRA examples of all kinds, which also serve as a school for those interested who want to do and learn...
