Height of the text boxes

I have put 3 text boxes in a row. They are sized to take up 4 cells each. I put some text and images inside these text boxes. I also changed the background picture of all 3 text boxes to one of the pictures from the library of various frames through the Cell style menu. The problem I am facing is that even though these text boxes have the same width, their height is a bit different. The height difference does not appear to be the result of different amount of content inside these boxes because all of them have free space at the bottom. Any ideas how to fix it? I was trying to play with Cell margins but it did not help much.

You could do it by trial and error by using your cursor up and down or take screenshots of each box and resize them by using a graphics program to get them to the exact size.
It's not all that easy Max!! Thing is you have to find the easiest and quickest solution for your problem. Should you need more help email me again.... and I'll send you a video tutorial if you like??

Is there a chance I can get incomedia to answer this? Is it a proper channel for tech support ?
Cheeky Man, thanks for the workaround but it sounds like a bug with Website X5. It would be nice if Incomedia employee can confirm that it is a problem and it is on the list of things to fix (if it is a problem of course and not a user error)
Hello Max,
Please verify for each item of text that are not present "to start a new line" and you try to send us the URL of your page

Hello Luca,
Thank you for responding.
1. Please verify for each item of text that are not present "to start a new line"
I am sorry, I do not understand. Do you want me to look for carridge returns on the empty lines below the text? I already did that. Or did you mean something else?
2. try to send us the URL of your page
Can you let me know what email address should I use and how should I reference this issue in my email subject. Any ticket number?
Thanks.
Hello Max,
1. If the grid isalignedin the same row you should make sure you have not inserted the different margins for the cell or verify that you have aligned the cells with same size.
2. If you don't want to send us the url of the site we need a screenshot.

Hello Luca,
I hope something got lost in the translation and you are not trying to insult me by saying "If you are not present in the head..". That sounds a bit off.
Anyway...
1. make sure you have not inserted the different margins for the cell or verify that you have aligned the cells with same size.
a)All the cell margins set to the default values and the same across all boxes.
b)All cells have the same size - I am attaching the screenshot
2. If you do not want to send us the url of the site we need a screenshot.
You have misunderstood me. You ask me to send you the url, I asked you for your email adress where to send my url. To avoid further confusion, I have created special site to demostrate the problem
Go to www.wizardstechnology.com
Also in the process of creating that site, I notices that if i view it in Firefox then all the boxes have the same height. However, if I use your preview feature incorporated in Website X5 or if I view the test site using IE 9 then you can clearly see the problem.
Hello Max,
Luca was not meaning to insult you. Really something was lost in traslation.
I think that problem is related to the text-object's contents. Did you add some floated images in it? If so, I think that could be the cause of the problem.
WSX5 have to use an IE .NET control to calculate the height of each text-object and with some versions of that browser the calculated height is wrong. Unfortunately, the IE .NET control doesn't use the current browser installed on your PC (such IE9) but it keeps running a sort of IE7.
If you have to use a lot of images within your text content, I suggest you to place them outside of the text-object using one or more image-objects. That could improve the readability of the content as well.

Hello Claudio,
1. Did you add some floated images in it? If so, I think that could be the cause of the problem.
I have not used floated images in this example. Also as you can see from the example in the third row there are no images at all (except for background image that cames from the WSX5 library). I think the problem here might be related to Fit to Cell background option
2. Unfortunately, the IE .NET control doesn't use the current browser installed on your PC (such IE9) but it keeps running a sort of IE7.
The problem does appear in IE 9 as well as I mentioned before. It might be related to the fact that some CSS commands/properties interpreted differently by IE and Firefox.
It would be nice to have some kind of warning or guidance from Incomedia to know ahead of time which WSX5 features supported across all the browsers and which features work correctly only in certain browsers.
3. If you have to use a lot of images within your text content, I suggest you to place them outside of the text-object using one or more image-objects.
This is how I worked around that problem in this instance since no other fix was offered.
Thank you Luca and Claudio,
No further help is needed on this issue. I hope the problem will be resolved in the next few patches.
Hi Max,
This kind of issue can't be completely solved. I see it is related to the way each browser interprets the text's font and size.
In example, if you take a look at the last row at www.wizardstechnology.com, the "Steps" box is really different from IE9 to FF. That's because the text feeds on a new line in a completely different manner in each browser. Moreover, the font used for the "Steps" word is rendered in two different ways in FF and in IE (in IE the text's a little bit taller).
I alway suggest to use fonts which are rendered the same way in each browser, such Georgia, Arial or Trebuchet. Times New Roman itself is sometimes rendered differently, such your case.
Hi,
yes I too have the sameproblem,www.internet-style.co.uk/shadescarton the home page. I have tried many ways to sort it out.
ie moving the boxes between rows and columns
Checking for carriage returns and even using carriage returns.
It does look untidy, Arial 10 is used in all cases, I do use images in the html object.
please keep me in the loop n this one.
The site is still under development
Hi Nigel,
On your site, I do not see the issue we're talking about. Make sure your IE is using the correct settings (press F12 and make sure the last version of IE is selected in the "Browser mode" drop down menu).
