Splitting cells in page (not tables)

Would it be possible that in the future the possibility of splitting cells on a page. Not in a table. I know that is possible already but in a cell on a page: horizontal or vertical. That would be very handy.

Today I found out how I can use the table on a page for the functions I need. Thanks anuway.
