I have a number of PC programs running on a new M2 Macbook under parallels.
Unfortunately X5 Pro is not running smoothly - had to get a special version of X5, have a number of issues where selection screens are blank, and the latest complicated issue is saving an X5 backup file where it refuses to be happy with any path for the backup.
Too many issues for me, I need to work, not troubleshoot.
My old intel macbook (last one with intel) with parallels worked great - not this one. Disappointed. Not blaming X5. Not blaming Parallels. Just too soon to use. Shame as X5 was running 5 to 8 times faster for the same tasks than the old macbook!

Shame on the MacBook! :)
Hello. As far as I can see, the developers have not declared compatibility with MacOS. Maybe one day...

Only need compatibility with an emulator such as Parallels....
Based on my own experience with other software, I can say that if the developer has not explicitly declared compatibility, then you can not wait for help from him.
Adrian - I too run Website X5 Evo (not Pro) on my Mac desktop via Parallels. The last 12 months I have had so many problems following a Windows update. This weekend it all went completely haywire and whilst I keep my software updated I did the latest update of Parallels today. I have the Desktop 18 for Mac and downloaded the latest v.18.2.0. Touch wood everything seems to be working perfevtly now.

Thanks Kathy. What Mac are you using?
I've been using X5 on my macbook pro with the last intel chipset, and an old parallels v15, for years with no problem.
The new M2 macbook with latest parallels is the problem - it may settle out with some time, but I don't feel like wasting the time until it does all get sorted. I'm afraid for me I'll be returning the Mac M2 since its within its return period and likely go with a latest higher end pc laptop. I've liked the mac as I feel it is a better hardware platform than the hp/dell/asus/etc laptops. Maybe I'll come back to mac in a few years once the pc laptop that I'll get needs replacing....
Adrian - apologies for not responding earlier but I have so many problems with Windows /Parallel and WX5 and it has been impossible to do anything over the last few weeks- even accessing the Help Center! I'm using an iMac with latest OS update and latest Parallels update and latest WX5 Evo update. I have now got it all back but many pages on my project which I updated a few weeks ago are now blank. It is so frustrating.
Now that it all seems to be working but then I tried to upload my updated project and it didn't work. Contacted my host company (TsoHost) and they were really unhelpful - just saying use FileZilla. That is a nightmare in itself as I'e tried that before and it didn't work.
Now I am not sure where to go from here. Maybe find a web developer software designed for Macs.
PS I tried to use the WX5 own web hosting but that doesnt work either!

Sorry to hear of the troubles.
I've gone to a dell laptop now, its 3 years old (a former employees company machine), but as fast as the Mac M2 was with X5 - everything is running smoothly. 4K screen, i7, 16gig - I might upgrade the HDD to an SSD to gain a little speed.
I think the issue is that there needs to be an ARM version of X5 for it work well under parallels on the M2 macs.
For mac authoring software I tried Rapidweaver a few years ago (it was the best of the group I tried) - it was slightly complicated but has a very good support base and the company support was great too. At the time it was a tossup of Rapidweaver or X5....
I think I'm going to move my entire on-line store to Ecwid and just use the widget mode as HTML objects in X5 - better database for the store items, API's for shipping and payment.
I'd be interested what you think of Rapidweaver - I'm not adverse to switching if I can get the performance and capability I want.... X5 is very very close, but still lacking in a few areas.
Where are you geographically?

I see you're in the UK - Parallels is a UK product (I think Brighton?)
Normally it works on win and mac at the same, i usue it on zhe i7 and m1 with parallels Version 17,
om m1 older version and ventura new version no problems, include on windows amr 11 newest updates and v17 paraleles and mac updates arm no problems.
1.) and yes the selction sreen is slow, same as by my since the updaters from X5pro with the new design
the solution is :
use Website ProX5 2022 3 7 Version with the old Design, it works on win 10,11, arm, m1
Download it in you licence or will it send to you, no problem
2.) On the M2 use alle newest updates arm, paralels V18, win 10,11 arm all updates,
but no grarantie because it depens on Incomedia
Soluition : Try other windows emulators and use win 10 with bootcamp , it works, no arm version
3.) sorry for that, try all emulators, better old ones
By me it works on win11,win 10 arm, on m1 16gb, Paraleles V17, mac os Ventura, Monterey no problems
if it not works take the old Mac i7, I9 with win 10 !
