Standard product categories
Auteur : Martin K.Hello,
I believe I am not the only who would welcome to have standard categories tree in ecommerce, like it is common for any other online shops. I know I can make menu with categories myself and then put product catalog on each page separately, but if you want categories menu/tree to be constantly visible when browsing shop, you have to copy this self-created menu with categories to each separate page. And you still do not see which actual subcategory you are currently in...
I know there is a search function that could be configured upon needs but you know it does not work as standard category browsing - I set only "CATEGORY'' as a visible field in search field and it shows only categories, but the problem is what? You click on any main category - it will show you products in it + subcategories, then you click any subcategory and it will uncheck it... So if you want to see products in any particular subcategory, you must uncheck all other ones.... Also any next category you click, you must unclick/unecheck previous ones... So in fact this way is not that you click what you want to see, but you actually a clicking a lot what you do not want to see.... This kind of browsing shop via search field is uncommon and very uncomfortable for customer, especially on mobile devices....
WSX5 is excellent software with many great features and I enjoy it to use (pro version), but I do not understand why it is not possible to implement such a primitive feature - simple standard category/subcategory browser - you click any category/subcategory - it shows you products in it, you click other one, shows other one only etc.... Or modify/add search field function that it will work in a manner that once category/subcategory is clicked, it will automatically unclick other ones..... I would be very happy for such a thing, even for extra price and I believe I am not the only....
All the best and happy Easter!
