Anyone successfully implement browser games?  en

I need to implement my browser games in Website X5 Evo.

In my previous website software I could create a pure html page (no headings, no navigation elements). The games wouldn't work if there were other elements on the page.

Is there a way to do that in Website X5?

Has anyone successfully integrated browser games with their Website X5 website, natively, using Website X5 features?

In step 3 Sitemap you mark the page and select Properties at the top. There you can select the option 'Create page without template' in the Graphics area. This will give you an empty page and you can then insert an HTML object into the page content in step 4 page processing in which you can insert the browser game. Try if it works and let us know.

Thank you for the quick response.

I tried your suggestion which worked in theory.

In practise, the responsive nature of the Website X5 interfered with the game:

  • On PC the bottom of the game was cut-off (not seriously, but noticeably).
  • On a cell phone the right-hand side of the game was cut-off (which meant some images were cut-off).
  • On a tablet: if I held the tablet in a portrait position, a significant part of the right-hand side of the game was cut-off. If I turned the game landscape, it flashed continuously.

I tried different page width sizes, but they didn't appear to make a difference.

I've solved the problem for now by pointing the Website X5 pages to the previously published html game pages.  They were published in software that's non-responsive, but the games adjust correctly to mobile  - portrait or landscape or desktop.

If anyone from Incomedia wants to see:

The Website X5 version is here

The same game pointing to a non-Website X5 html page is here

Hello Janette

As you mentioned as well, I believe this to be an incompatibility linked to how WebSite X5 handles responsive, so your analysis is already on point.

Unfortunately, not much can be done for a situation like this. Inserting your code on a separate page is definitely the way to go

I remain available here
