I have ranted about this before - but here I go again.
The websiteX5 system of credits is theft. I have received a reminder today that I have 23 credits which expire today. But I have nothing that I want to spend them on - I have no current need. I cannot think of another company that requires you to pay ahead and then cancel the credits if you don't use them. It is dishonest. I am happy to pay for templates or whatever when I need them - or even be able to use the correct the correct number of credits for what I want to purchase but, often, I have to buy more credits than for the product I wish to purchase. The fact that they expire is fraud. It is theft.

I wouldn't mind so much if the credits lasted for every - but, to cancel them after a year is thoroughy dishonest - it is theft.

Don't hide this - your cutomers need to see it.
I'm going to defend Incomedia on this one... I too think a year is short. If you buy a gift card in a store in Canada for example, they never expire. But it wasnt always like that - but then a law was brought in.
Anyway, from a business perspective, a credit outstanding is a "liability". liability from a financial perspective. How do you carry liabilities over year to year on your books - its very complicated.
Although as a consumer of credits I too am maddened by them expiring, but I underatand the need to clear them off the books.
Maybe there can be a better way figured out. But I can't fault Incomedia for needing to do something to bring the liability side down to zero.

Thanks - why can't we just buy them as we need them? Apart from the fact that they expire, it annoys me that you can never buy just the number of credits that you need. For example (number are sprious) I want to buy something for 13 credits but I have to buy 17 - that mean I have paid for 4 credits that I will probably never use. Theft.
I woud much prefer that, if I want to buy something, I can and pay the exact amount at the time of purchase. Then they would have no problem with "clearing off the books.
The current system is theft.

I understand both points of view. They are both right.
The truth is that Incomedia must improve this section, since YES it is a robbery. Spot.
But, Incomedia can improve this if it sets its mind to it, example:
That the shirts, mugs, etc. that they are selling can be bought with credits.
Even... "personally" donate them to those who need it, according to the cause that we believe is important?
Which leads me to ask... could it be that the donations they give to these institutions are the value of the credits that expire?
