I have PayPal connected but when a purchase is made via the cart, the paypal button that is on that page sends the customer back to homepage with out collecting payment.

An email is generated and sent to the customer with invoice and a paypal button, when the customer clicks on that button they are sent to the sites home page.

Anyone know what I am doing wrong or is this a bug?

Further investigation on the PayPal payment process I discovered:

1) On site checkout - last step - click on paypal button redirects to home page without asking for payment details.

2) Email received from site contains order information - when clicking on PayPal button it to redirects to Home Page. (Laptop)

3) Opening the email on my Iphone in Safari - The order invoice is different as it includes the input of payment details for PayPal.  But is also (Not Secure)

Hello Cliff,
based on my simulations, if I enter the website with the URL cookbookspro.com the error you mentioned occurs, whereas if I use the "proper" URL www.cookbookspro.com, after confirming my order I reach a page where PayPal asks for the card information.
The website needs to be accessed from the same URL that is displayed during Step 5 in WebSite X5.
I would suggest contacting your hosting provider so that you can request a redirect from cookbookspro.com to www.cookbookspro.com, and from the HTTP version to the HTTPS version, this way any user using the "incomplete" URL enters the version without errors occurring.
After this redirect is requested, you should also change the URL in Step 5 to https://www.cookbookspro.com
Let us know if you need anything else.

Hi there, htaccess fixed, step 5 fixed.  Still the same problem in both Microsoft Edge and Chrome.  The paypal actually appears for a split second before sending you back to home page.
