Hello,
I am seriously fed up with this sofware. Once again I am prestented with Server Error (Generic error) when trying to upload using this ridiculous software. No problems uploading with Filezilla so the issue is Website X5.
Why should I bother upgrading when it clearly cannot do a simple taks it is supposed to be designed for?
It also halts an export at 45% and doesn't bother proceeding. I have to force close it every time!
Firewell settings set to allow!

I'm not on IONOS, but I guess the -ofevents has to be omitted from the username since it's similar on Hosteurope
At Hosteurope I also had to change the “destination folder” information when switching from FTP to SFTP. Please contact IONOS Support in this regard.

Hi,
Has nothing whatsoever to do with Ionos and neither the username. After 15 attempts X5 was able to connect totnhe server without changing a thing! It's ridiculous!
There has to be a better system than one that takes 15 attempts before it uploads
-ofevents is part of my user name so omitting or changing this will prevent any connection.
As I say FileZilla has no issues only X5 which has always been hot or miss if it connects. It is getting worse however.
Any recommendations for a better program?

Thanks Daniel for your advice, but it won't work in this situation sadly.
If the other side responds 15 times with an error message asking whether all the data is correct, then the problem lies with the other side and not with WebSiteX5.
Since when does the problem occur? Has IONOS changed anything, e.g. the FTP parameters?

Hi
To be clear, FileZilla connects without any issues at all. I can and will use FileZilla here on out. Ionos hasn't changed anything, if they did, I'd have the same issue as I do with X5. The issue is X5, as I've always had issues and they don't acknowledge this.
I've also reached out to Ionos and have confirmed they are experiencing no issues, and have said if I had the same issue uploading with FileZilla there would be, therefore, logically, the issue is down to X5.
Incomedia employees will be online during office hours from Monday and will certainly be able to say in more detail what the problem is.
I use the Pro version myself and upload the websites and test pages to Hosteurope. My brother's websites are uploaded to Strato with the Evo version, and there are no problems there either.
Hi, The destination folder should end on this
/public_html/
I will send a picture of my settings For more details
I hope it helps.
Hello Michael,
I'm sorry about the issue.
Could you provide me with a copy of the project on which you have encountered this, if the error is still occurring at times?
I would like to check if I can see anything more detailed at the times of the failed connections.
You can export the project as IWZIP in Step 5, and then use WeTransfer.com or similar platforms to provide a download link at sales @ incomedia.eu (without the spaces).
