Hi all, is this possible to link different projects and upload to one website to reduce the size of each project? While working on my project, a pop up of the app telling me that I can create different projects and link them. But I dont know how to do that. Please advise.

Thank you

Cuong

Hi there!

Yes it is, the logic is the same one you apply when you create a website available in multiple languages. Let's assume your Initial Project has 10 pages. You want to split it into two.

  • First create a backup copy of the initial project
  • Create a further copy of the initial project: it will be Project A
  • Create a further copy of the initial project: it will be Project B
  • Open Project A, keep pages 1 to 5
  • Open Project B, keep pages 6 to 10
  • Export Project A on the server main folder: the website will be available at www.yourwebsite.com
  • Export Project B on a server subfolder: the website will be available at www.yourwebsite.com/project-b
  • Create on Project A a menu entry "Project B" and set the link to Project B
  • Create on Project B a menu entry "Project A" and set the link to Project A

Please let me know if I can be of any further help. Kind regards.

Thanks Elisa for very clear guide. I havent tried. I assume that the link to the project B will be url to the project B's compoment, not the internal link in the project, is that right?

Hi!

Since you would be exporting Project A on the server main folder and Project B on a server subfolder, the link referred to Project A is www.yourwebsite.com and the one referred to Project B www.yourwebsite.com/project-b

Thanks! Kind regards.
