Gtag issue

Hi there,
I tried using the Gtag among the HTML code for each page.
At the verification metatag for the Google search console, I added the code Google gave me.
Unfortunately, the code is visible on the top left side of the pages.
Any solution to this problem? or something I do wrong?
Your help and guidance is highly appreciated.

The entire line of code must be used including the angle brackets.

If you are working with the Pro edition, paste the meta tag into the Verification metatag for Google Search Console in the Step 1 - WebSite Settings > SEO > Tag window of WebSite X5: the Program will add the meta tag in the correct position to the HTML code of your Home page.
