Trying to eliminate the gap - margin settings

I have the Inner and Outer margins for the image objects, text objects and button objects set to 1 for vertical top and vertical bottom
I have enabled row formats to try to figure out where the problem is - and I believe that it shows its the text objects.
I have no lines inserted after the last character in the last row of text, but as you can see there is a gap between the text and the top of the button objects.
Any ideas appreciated,

Reduce the margins of the text objects at the bottom and the margins of the button objects at the top.

If the margins of the text objects at the top and the margins of the image objects at the bottom are also reduced, it looks like this.

What you have for an example is what I would expect from the margin settings as you describe.
I have the margins set to "1" from the default value of "10"..... but as you can see from my example file, there is still a big gap between top of the button and bottom of the text. A much bigger gap than a margin of 1 + 1.
Your example is what I want to achieve... :)

So now I have added background colour to the objetcs and you can see it is the area under the text.

So now i have made aligmnet of text object in the center - and the margins are 1, but still a alrge gap above and below text
Here I have set the top and bottom margins for the text object to 0. For the image object the bottom margin is set to 0 and for the button object the top margin is set to 0.

I noticed that the button has a different background color than the text and image, probably because the objects in the grid were not placed the same way as in my test.
