If I loaded a web page with an older version of wbx5, how do I upload a new www?

I loaded my webpage with old version of WBX5, now I want o upload new web page version created with lates version of WBX5 and when upload new webpage, it does not load, but old webpage gets ruined and distored.
What steps do I need to follow in order for new webpage to be visible on internet and uploaded?

Should the new website replace the old one?
Deleting the two files index.php and home.html on the web server may be enough to solve the problem.
Otherwise, more information or a link to the website is required.

expanding on what Daniel said, in general WebSite X5 does not intervene on your hosting space's contents by deleting old pages if they are still present, and would only overwrite page files which have the same name, so you may need to also erase older files from the web space.
