Incoherence between Website X5 view and actual view on the Web.  en

When I edit my website and view it from WX5, the top line of my template header appears below the violet text ”Bøger af Pierre Lassalle på dansk” (see photo, top left

But when I upload it and watch it on the Web, the top line of the header has moved upward, appearing below the green letters (see photo, top right).

However, this incoherence applies only for the Main page. The rest of the pages are identical, as they are supposed to be (see photo, bottom left and right).

Besides, when I browse the different pages on my site, they rock a little from side to side. This goes for both WX5 view and true Web view. (This is a minor problem, however).

Can anybody help?

Try clicking on Preview at the top in WebSiteX5 while holding down the left Ctrl key and waiting until the bottom progress bar has completely run through.

Then export the entire website to the Internet, not just the current files.

Now retrieve the files from the web server using the key combination Ctrl + F5.

Thank you very much. It seems to work. A few minutes after my upload, the header on the different pages remains the same.

I didn’t know that one can retrieve the files from the online version.

The different pages still rock a little from side to side, however. Can I do anything about it?

Kind regards, Peter.

In WebSiteX5 you can have the pages rebuilt by holding down the left Ctrl key and clicking on Preview to be sure that you can see the changes in the preview and that they will also be exported.

In the browser you can use the key combination Strg + F5 to reload the files from the web server so that you do not see old files without the change from the browser cache.

Hello Peter,
are you referring to what happens when going from https://turmalin.site/butik.html to https://turmalin.site/om-forlaget.html for example?
If so, this is because butik does not have much content, and so no scrollbar is necessary, whereas other pages do have it in order to scroll down and check everything on the page, and this leads to the slight shift.
