Search product page  en

When i add a product catalog object to a page, the settings seem to offer a filter and search option. However, can't get this to display, is it available in the object?

I can see all the options for search and filter when i view the page ecommerce:search special page.

If you can't do this, and i want my complete product catalog as the home page, would i have to redirect to the search page (<meta http-equiv="refresh" content="0; url=cartsearch/index.html">)?

Lastly, is it possible to change the format of the search options, i.e. font size/colour?

Thanks.

In my demo shop you can find the shop search and product catalog, see

>> https://findelinks.de/123shop-hosteurope/ (no sales, only for testing)

Are there any specific questions that could not be answered by the instructions?

Hi, Daniel W.

I have read all the instructions, but it does not make it clear on the expected results.

This is what led to the questions as above:-

If all products with search options should be on the homepage, then the only option is a redirect.

The product catalog is used to select a smaller number of products without a visible search function and is intended as a supplement to a text page.

Hello,
the filters in the settings of the Product Catalog object are just an interface allowing you to choose which of the overall products found in your project should be displayed in that specific catalog.
Only the Product Search page (cartsearch/index.html) will have a search option available for the customers, however as this is a special page it cannot be edited to include contents as in ordinary pages, so perhaps rather than having a redirect from the homepage to the Product Search page, you could consider having a button with a link to it, or a showbox showing the product search page instead, so that users can land on a proper homepage initially.
