Webanimator Forum Being Decommissioned
Auteur : A J.It is definetly disappointing and heart breaking to see that there are no current plans to develop another version of WebAnimator and have recently learned that it was being developed by a 3rd party company other than Incomedia anyway.
It will be nice to get more details and clarification as to whether i can still use the application to create animations within my WX5 projects? If the .wax file export will remain an WA project export format for easy implimentation into WX5? If we also need to worry about WX5 just all of a sudden not being developed and learning of this years after a previous release? If WX5 is also developed by a third party company other than Incomedia also?
I fon't want to nor do I care for just having my animations just given to me, by having to go to a lottie file depository website and choose something from a bunch of "Non-Interactive" animations for god sakes.
I've learned to take great pride in learning WA and creating my own interactive website animation content, a process that involves using ones own brain and talents for god sakes. Starting with a single blank digital canvas and implimenting elements, content and designs layer upon layer until a finished and polished interactive animation project is completed.
Thanks in advance for any clarity on this.

The Incomedia employees should be online again from Monday and respond to the post.
I only tested WebAnimator briefly.
According to KI, the program hasn't been updated for 4 years and Incomedia may not be doing anything about it now.
The closure of the forum should be a sign that nothing will be done about the program and that it will remain as it is now.
Webanimator is a good product. Been using it for years.
There is a free and quite as good alternative: https://webdesigner.withgoogle.com/
Googles Web Designer is much like webanimator. And it is free.
But Google can also choose to change their mind about it. Stop developing or make it to pay for - or whatever.
Hello,
Thank you for getting in touch.
I'd like to clarify the situation: WebAnimator has not been discontinued. We are simply in the process of closing the dedicated support forum, as we have decided to provide a more direct support channel via email: https://www.webanimator.com/en/contact-us.php.
WebAnimator will continue to work as usual, and you can keep integrating the animations you create into your WebSite X5 projects.
As for WebSite X5, I can confirm that the software is developed entirely in-house by Incomedia, and we are fully committed to its continued development for many years to come.
Please let me know if there's anything else I can help you with.
Kind regards.

Thanks for your feedback on this. My actual concern and inquiry is more to do with future "development" of WebAnimator not discontinuation.
Will future developement continue on WebAnimator, meaning that will we see any further updates, upgrades, added fratures and even a new version 5 any time soon? Its already been about 4 years since the release of WA4.
Thanks again for the feedback on this Elisa and looking forward to gaining a little more clarification on this, thanks in advance.
Hi!
As far as upcoming updates are concerned, unfortunately I have no official information regarding this aspect, I'm sorry about that. I will be happy to let you know in case of news.
Thanks!
