Gallery delete picture cleanup  en

I have situations on a number of web pages where I will have a gallery which will be removed and replaced by another gallery. Version 2026.2.3. I have noticed that when I do this the gallery is not shown in the Creation space, but when generating the web page on the "Export -> Export the Website function the pictures from the deleted gallery show up in the gallery folder of the website.  These pictures would then get uploaded to the website from that folder using core ftp.

I do not seem to find a trigger to eliminated this picture generation.  Running optimize I show0 uninked resources, but the picture files still get generated in the gallery folder.

Am I missing a step?

The Incomedia employees are online here during office hours in Italy and can say whether there are any problems with the detour via the hard drive and the FTP program.

I export directly from WebSite X5 to the webspace, but do not delete any images to save myself time and problems, since the large memory on the webspace is used very little anyway.

Hello Scott,
I am sorry about the inconvenience.
I recommend going to Step 5 - Export ---> Export the Project, and generate an IWZIP without enabling the option to include backup files.
It is likely that these older images are stored there.
Once you generate the IWZIP like this, import it and then publish this instance of the website.
I remain available.

Hi Eric.

You were close.  I tried your sugesstion and it did not do it.  But your guidance got me to the right place.

Right above the include backup files ther is the include a copy of the web site preview files.  Unchecking the web site preview files when eporting, then importing eliminates the unused gallery files.

I have really enjoy using Website X5!

Thanks,

Scott
