How do allow comments on the Guestbook only after approval? At the moment, I am getting spammed with inappropriate comments. I am able to change my blog comments to approve because there is a check box for that option but the widget that produces the Guestbook doesn't have that option.

When you create the guestbook, the widget will present you a window where you can adjust some settings:
Make sure that "Show captcha" is checked.
Uncheck "Show inserted comments immediately"
I Suppose that your guestbook is already up and running, since it's getting spammed, so open the page where your Gustbook is installed and take a look at the html code that was generated after you created the Guestbook.
You will find a line that looks like this:
showGuestBook('r06x63uo', 'your_guestbook_public_folder', ' ', true, true);
Simply replace the second "true" with false .
Upload your website.
You can also remove the guestbook from the page and start over using the settings suggested above.
To approve the comment, after uploading:
Go to your website Control panel:
www.your_website.com/admin (replace "your_website" with the name or your site)
Use the Administrator ID and password that you'll find in step 4, Advanced Settings, Access Management, and login into your Control panel. On the top left of the page, you'll see a menu option named "Guestbook"
Click on it and you'll be able to manage the Guestbook entries.
See page 167 of the user's manual for the description of the Control Panel.
Hope this helps.

Hi Bernard,
I must have been so excited about being able to put up a Guestbook that I didn't look at the option screen before pasting the code! So many thanks for answering my question and solving my problem.
Now I have some comments for Incomedia,
Make the default setting for the Guestbook "show inserted comments immediately" unticked.
Add to the User Manual the instructions given by Bernard.
Enable an amendment dialogue box to change the settings without having to delete and replace the whole code.
Investigate a better spam prevention method than the captcha code or suggest to WebsiteX5 users how to prevent spam.
Thanks again, Bernard.
Thanks for this info Bmt! and thanks Tony for the suggestions too...
The Widgets are external files (they are only in English) and actually they don't have a guide other than the labels present in the software.
The Widgets could be added in the future from Incomedia and from any users too.
Infact we would like to create a special website where any user can download new Widgets and all the info about them. Here there will be also a page that will explain how it is possible to create a new one.
PS: @Tony, please check as correct the BmT answer!
