Hello,

Did you update your WSX5 to the latest version (8.0.16)? If I'm right, that issue was solved since then.Wink

Hello, I have same problem (run-time error '5' invalid procedure call or argument) occuring while testing website. Problem is consisted in subpage with table object with text, pictures and hypelinks inside. I have v 8.0.16, cleaned registry with CCleaner, uninstalled-reboot-installed WesSite and still no solution... Please advise what else can I check?

Hello Lukasz,

The error is caused by an unsupported file used inside that table. If the images you inserted inside your page are not in jpg format, try to convert them into jpg before adding them to the project.

Moreover, make suer there are no OLE object, Excel files of PSD files inside your current project.Wink

Hello again - all pictures were in .png format indeed (with transparency). I've converted all of them into .jpg format and replaced - same effect (runtime error 5...). There are no Excel or PSD files, no OLE object in the project directly. I am checking hyperlinks right now and will let know the effect.

If You could propose something in a meanwhile - would be great.

Replacing hypelinks gave no effect. This "runtime error 5" occured after I manipulated with text visible as a product name with description and hyperlink above - I placed product name and description above the hyperlink. I do not know if this is coreated or not.

Please advise.

It could be also a non-western char.

I would:

  1. Create a backup copy of the original project
  2. Remove one by one each object in the page, checking everytime if the site can be exported or not.

The runtime error 5 is surely caused by a "undigested" content. WebSite X5 V8 can't handle non ASCII characters very well so this could be the cause of the problem.

I already tried (before posting here) removing ALL objects (text, pictures, hyperlinks) from the table and even then "runtime error 5" occured (while having empty table on the website).
Now I have splitted one table with 8 products into 8 individual tables. After deleting every one of these tables only last one (on the bottom) allowed to run test without "runtime error 5".

I had a lot of problems with WebSite, but this one is the most difficult to solve...

I am out of ideas and my last one is to rebuild that subpage, but I am afraid that this will give no effect.  Please advise.

If you are sure that's the page witch causes the error, I suggest you to rebuild it.

Make sure there aren't non-standard chars. I also suggest you to try Evolution 9, which supports UTF8. You can download the DEMO here: http://www.websitex5.com/en/download.html

Ok, I will rebuild that subpage. Regarding Evo 9 - I am aware of problems that occur after migration (missing pictures, hyperlinks, formats, etc...) so I will stick with Evo 8 for now (maybe untill Incomedia will fix that bug).

Actually, those 'bugs' are caused by misplaced pictures. If you batch your project (or make sure that the images are in the correct path) before importing into Evo9, everything works fine.Wink

I suggest you to try the Demo, you won't be disappointed.
